Wesley Medical Center is Wichita's center for advanced cardiac care. In the event of a heart attack, fast action equals less heart damage. Wesley routinely outperforms national "door to balloon" times by nearly 30 minutes. "Door to balloon" refers to the vital minutes from a patient's arrival to the restoration of blood flow to the heart.
Wesley has also invested $10 million in a new suite of heart catheterization labs and state-of-the-art electrophysiology lab to treat arrhythmia and other heart disorders. Wesley is also home to a free-standing outpatient cath lab, which offers convenient parking and prompt treatment.
